The first CS2 Major is almost upon us. Denmark awaits, as the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 prepares to get underway. To celebrate, we’ve put together our PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 power rankings, to see who we think will take home Counter-Strike’s biggest prize later this month.

PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 favorites

After an immense start to 2024, Spirit jump straight to the top of our PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 power rankings. Their IEM Katowice 2024 win was one of the most dominant tournament wins we’ve seen in a long time, and with donk showing no signs of slowing down, we expect they’ll be in the running for the championship in Denmark.

Next, it’s impossible to write off Vitality. As the champions of the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, they’ll want to retain their title, albeit with multiple different players on the team. While mezii hasn’t proven to be as consistent as Magisk just yet, they’ve already shown they can win championships with their English replacement.

Then, there’s FaZe Clan. Ever consistent, this international lineup are still adapting to frozen’s addition and the loss of Twistzz. FaZe have found themselves in the Grand Final of their last seven CS2 tournaments, and there’s no reason to think they can’t be right in the mix at PGL Major Copenhagen 2024.

The final favorite that we want to talk about is NAVI. While they haven’t won a tournament together with this lineup, you can feel with every match they’re improving. Consistency is their biggest enemy at the moment, but if they can find some form at the Major, they’ll be in with a shot of winning the entire event.

Take a look at our full CS2 power rankings for the teams at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024:

PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 underdogs

Following an underdog is a huge part of what makes Counter-Strike great. With players of this quality, anyone can beat anyone, and sometimes it can happen in the biggest of tournaments. Last year in Paris, we had underdog teams like Monte, GamerLegion, Apeks and Into the Breach make Cinderella runs. This is who we think can repeat the feat this time around.

First up is Eternal Fire. Every time this Turkish team steps onto the server, they look like a team that can punch with the best of them. They’ve beaten Falcons twice in 2024, as well as an impressive win over MOUZ in January. On top of this, they’ve taken maps off FaZe and NAVI, and should be able to cause some real damage in Denmark. Look out for Wicadia on Eternal Fire – this young rifler is a top talent in the game at the moment.

Our final underdog is TheMongolZ. After smurfing the Asia RMR, TheMongolZ look set to contend at the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024. Young IGL bLitz is an expert at getting the best from his players, and 17-year-old Senzu is another star in the making. We think TheMongolZ could make things uncomfortable for some great teams in Copenhagen, even if they don’t go on to win the entire event.
