The PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023 is well underway. After two weeks of intense action, six teams have qualified for the anticipated Grand Finals in Turkey. Ten teams, from the other hand, have already been knocked out.

Currently, the group stage of the competition is underway. Forty-eight teams have been evenly split into Groups Green, Red, and Yellow. Each group competes separately across four days, with six matches taking place per day. At the end, the top three move on to the Grand Finals while the bottom five are eliminated. The remaining teams between fourth and 11th place move on to the Survival Stage.

Group Red sees South Korea’s Nongshim RedForce come out on top

Nongshim Red Force was the team that made headlines in Group Red. They started off their path in the PMGC 2023 with a chicken dinner in the first match itself. From here, they carried on their momentum to lead all through the four days and achieve first place in the group.

What makes their victory even more impressive is that they finished above China’s Six Two Eight, which came in second place at the PMWI earlier this year. China is known for its absolute dominance in the PUBG Mobile esports scene. Additionally, the region is the best performing one in the history of the PMGC.

The overall standings of the group are as follows:

Nongshim Red Force
Six Two Eight
Morph GPX
Nigma Galaxy
Dukan Esports
Yoodo Alliance
N Hyper Esports
Faze Clan
NB Esports
Nasr Esports
iNCO Gaming
