PUBG Mobile Update 3.0 Release Date: When is the new version coming?

PUBG Mobile was released back in 2018 as the Android and iOS versions of the immensely popular BR game. However, the game has set itself apart from the main title, through constant updates which have added a variety of new features to the game. Now, the latest one is set to arrive. PUBG Mobile has been following the same update pattern for a while now. As a part of this, a new update is released every two months. Now, Update 2.9 went live on Nov. 29, 2023.

Thus, players can expect the release date for Update 3.0 in PUBG Mobile to be around mid-January. Tencent hasn’t revealed an exact release date for the new version. It will likely unveil the schedule closer to when the update will go live.

What is new in PUBG Mobile Update 3.0?

So far, Tencent has only given teasers of what to expect from Update 3.0 in PUBG Mobile. However, the new version will be one of the bigger ones since the developer has been hyping it up since the PMGC Finals in early December.

Currently, Tencent has put out a tweet with a very cryptic message on what to expect from Update 3.0. From what we could make out of it, there will be an exciting new themed game mode while the Metro Royale mode will receive a new map.

Additionally, significant changes can be expected in the World of Wonder as well as the Classic Mode.

Tencent should begin revealing the details slowly by early January. Additionally, Rick Li, the producer for PUBG Mobile, revealed during the PMGC Grand Finals that the Update 3.0 will allow players to step into the shoes of “futuristic warriors.” Furthermore, the update will bring new levels and structures while making the game smoother with optimizations.
