EVO Japan is one of the biggest events on the horizon for fighting games right now. it’s featuring quite a few major games, including a lot of the last year’s new releases. One title is still on top of the chats when it comes to popularity though. SF 6 at EVO Japan 2024 is proving it’s keeping it’s top spot, at least if sign ups so far are anything to go by.

EVO Japan’s initial entrant numbers are showing off just how many people want to jump into each game. Street Fighter 6 is still pulling in the biggest numbers though. According to the early sign ups for this event, the game is massively leading. This should ensure we’re seeing some of the best SF 6 players at EVO Japan 2024.

SF 6 at EVO Japan 2024 Tops Registration numbers

It’s only a little while until we start to get more information about EVO Japan 2024. The tournament is now fast approaching. One of the early indicators of which games are most popular is the entrants numbers. There are quite a few games featured, but only one has managed to rise above 1,000 sign-ups.

Street Fighter 6 is currently sat at over 3,400 sign ups! That’s massively above all the other games at the event. Even the brand-new game, Tekken 8, is only sat at 853. Next up is Guilty Gear Strive. While a little older, it’s clearly still one of the most popular fighting games. Sign-ups for Guilty Gear are at over 500, as is Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising. Even SF3 is already at 339.

The sign ups show that Street Fighter is still very much dominating in these events. As we enter the second season of the Capcom Cup having a prize pool of over a million, interest in the game isn’t dropping at all. It doesn’t look like there’s going to be anything that can knock Street Fighter 6 off its top spot in 2024.
