After terminating their partnership with KOI, ReKT Global has officially decided to bring back the Rogue brand in the LEC.

The Rogue brand returns to LEC

Earlier today ReKT Global announced that it will rebrand its League of Legends team to Rogue going into the next season. The Rogue brand was taken over in 2023 by KOI, following the partnership between the Spanish organization and ReKT Global’s parent company, Infinite Reality.

Now that the strategic partnership has been terminated, Infinite Reality was given the slot back, retaining the rosters on Call of Duty, Rocket League, Rainbow Six, and the LEC roster. KOI, instead, regained full control of its rosters in FIFAe, LVP, and VCT EMEA.

 

While Infinite Reality had the chance to go for a new brand and name change, it ultimately decided to stick with Rogue, one of the most decorated brands in the LEC prior to its name change. Rogue fought for the top spots in the LEC from 2020 until 2022 when it won the LEC title in Summer and was the only Western team to get to the quarterfinals at Worlds 2022.

In the public announcement released on X, the organization stated that the revival of the Rogue brand is a “testament to the fans’ loyalty” and that they will be revealing their future plans within the space in the near future.

While it’s not official yet, the rebranded Rogue has also locked in its lineup, according to Sheep Esports. Aside from Szygenda and Comp, who were still contracted going into the off-season, Rogue reportedly reached verbal agreements with former SK jungler Markoon as well as rookie support Zoelys from the ERL ecosystem. In the mid lane, Larssen will continue to be the starting player, meaning that the organization will field two players from the 2022 roster.
