Luminosity Gaming announced the addition of former Soniqs superstar Austin “M1ME” Scherff to their PUBG. The move completes a strange un-coordinated two-player swap between SQ and LG.
Weeks earlier, Soniqs announced the departure of M1ME and what was supposed to be a retirement, with Matt “Kickstart” Smith taking his place on the main roster.
Lumonisty seems to have had other plans, as illustrated in the announcement video:
Preparing for PGC 2023
Both teams have already qualified and will compete in the PUBG Global Championship in November. This means we will definitely get to see M1ME and Kickstart play against the organizations they played an entire season with up until this point.
Both teams were fairly bantery about the player swap thus far.
Despite their regional rivalry, both rosters look really strong heading into PGC 2023 spelling good things for the region as a whole. I simply can’t wait for all the memes the players will create surrounding the player swap.
