Street Fighter 6 has been out for a little over a month now, and we’ve already had a few Majors and different tournaments for the game. The opening day meta can’t last forever though, and we’ve just gotten our first batch of Street Fighter 6 patch notes.

The first patch is looking at addressing some more minor problems with the game. It’s focused on technical issues and other additions, like adding more content. This isn’t a balance patch just yet though, surprisingly. Capcom is choosing to keep the game in pretty much the same state. However, there is one important change which has been done to a mechanic. Although, tellingly Capcom is classing this as a bug fix rather than a competitive change! The title is already pretty well balanced, even for one of the best fighting games, these new patch notes have made some alterations though.

This is what’s been changed in the very first Street Fighter 6 patch notes.

Rashid Arrives!

A new fighters pass has started! These are smaller batches of content, not including new characters or additions to the Street Fighter 6 roster. It’ll give a bit more content for the truly devoted players to get through though.

Clubs

A new club recruitment campaign has started! If you’re loving the club system so far then this will keep you busy for the next few weeks.

Server Improvements

The Battle net servers have had some changes. This should help to reduce strain on them. So far, the online experience for Street Fighter 6 has been pretty smooth, but it’s always nice to see improvements are still coming.

Throw Bug Fix

More recently with Street Fighter 6, players found a new tech, or at least that’s what some were calling it. This was built around throw escapes. Capcom addressed the issue and promised were coming, and they’ve arrived with the first Street Fighter 6 patch notes.

Capcom has patched the “tech” to remove it. It was apparently a bug. They’ve made changes to stop players from intentionally recreating a bug in the game. This is a relief with some major tournaments on the horizon now the bug was so widely known!

That’s what’s in the first round of Street Fighter 6 patch notes. This patch may have been largely focused on fixing the throw tech/bug. However, we’re sure to start getting full patch notes soon. Hopefully, before the Capcom Cup 2023 gets into full swing we’ll start to see some balancing adjustments made to ensure the more powerful characters in the meta are levelled back out.
