This week we’ve seen one of the biggest announcements in StarCraft 2 for a long time. It’s not a new sequel, or tournament, but the formation of a new team. The Team Vitality StarCraft 2 has been formed. It’s not just any squad though, Team Vitality has put together a supergroup of StarCraft 2. A collection of some of the strongest players to ever enter the game, all under one banner.

This new Team Vitality StarCraft 2 team has just been announced today. Team Vitality, who have operated in a few games over the years, is making a big step into the game. They’ve already partnered up with Tezos, hummel, and Evnia as sponsors. The South Korean team ONSYDE will be rebranding as Team Vitality. That’s giving them one of the most GOATed squads in StarCraft 2 esports. Why is this new squad so impressive and when we see them competing under the new name Team Vitality?

Team Vitality StarCraft 2 Squad Formed with All-Star Line-Up

The new team Vitality StarCraft 2 team is set up with some of the best players in the game. Who exactly makes up the Squad? The first player is Solar. He’s already a Legendary name in StarCraft, but he’s been on fire lately winning the World Team League for Summer and Winter. That’s along with having three DreamHack Champions under his belt. Solar is one of the best-performing players recently.

The next player on this new squad is Maru. Since first winning a broadcast game at only 13 years, he’s been one of the most decorated players in the game. He’s won 8 different StarCraft II Global League Code S events. That’s along with countless other tournaments over the years. The next on the squad is Ryung. He’s another Korean player with a lengthy history in the game, competing since 2010. The player has had some great results over the years. Since returning back to the game in recent years, he’s been an important part of the Team ONSYDE squad.

The final player is Coach Choi ‘CranK’ Jae-won. He’s another older player who has managed a long career in the game, racking up quite a few achievements. Like the others, he’s been a part of the winning team at the most recent tournaments like the World Team League.

This squad in StarCraft is undoubtedly one of the best active. They’re a number of the best StarCraft 2 players, all in one place. It’s the squad from Team ONSYDE that will be now competing as the new Team Vitality StarCraft 2 team. We’re going to see them competing under this new name pretty soon, at the Intel Extreme Masters Katowice. We’ve only got a few days before this starts up on February 8th and we see the new squad competing.
