Tekken 8 is one of the hottest upcoming fighting games. Set to release in 2024, it’s a new instalment in one of the biggest franchises in the genre. Set to release in just over 6 months, we’ve started getting some more substantial Tekken 8 leaks. While we can look at official announcements for some info like the base roster, what can we expect after launch? The Tekken leaks so far are showing an exciting game is coming.

The Tekken series has always stood out next to Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat for doing things a bit differently. The latest instalment in the franchise definitely seems to be doing enough to stand out from 2023’s other major fighters. This is what we’ve learnt from Tekken 8 leaks and the latest information about the game.

Tekken 8 Roster leaks

One of the most exciting leaks to come for any fighting game is the roster. The Tekken characters that are playable will make or break the game for a lot of players. A short while back, we got a huge Tekken leak that apparently displayed the entire base roster for the game. Rather than waiting through every reveal, we had a clear look at what was coming at the Tekken 8 release date. What’s even more exciting is that this leak has so far been proven fairly true. With each announcement, it seems more and more likely that this Tekken 8 leak was fully accurate. This is the base roster according to the leak.

Zafina
Victor
Leo
Reina
Dragunov
Yoshimitsu
Kuma
Shaheen
Steve
Devil Jin
Alisa
Feng
Panda

Victor and Reina are both newcomers which are an exciting part of the Tekken 8 leaks. Another more interesting part is Devil Jin as a standalone character here. In terms of DLC characters we don’t know an awful lot about what’s coming, but there are still some other Tekken leaks out there.

Other Tekken Leaks

Alongside those Tekken 8 leaks, there are some other leaks out there. These are less confirmed so it’s worth taking them with a hint of salt. These are some of the other leaks we’ve seen so far.

Power Crushes – Not every character will have one. These are getting big changes.
Washdash – Movement mechanic coming to more characters.
Clinching – Similar to Clashing in Soul Calibur, a new mechanic
Hades Zagreus – Might be coming as a guest character

These leaks aren’t as likely as those for the roster. However, it’s still interesting to look at the leaks for what could be coming to the game when it releases. It’s just a few short months until we get there though and we’ll likely find out a lot more as we get closer to the release date.
