BattleBit Remastered has received an extensive update. Included are larger maps, the nerf of a dreaded weapon, and a much-needed change to the healing system.
The block shooter BattleBit Remastered is extremely successful at the moment. In the last few days alone, over 30,000 simultaneous players were regularly online in the Battlefield competitor.
Fittingly, the developers announced their future plans for BattleBit just under two weeks ago. Graphics improvements were unsurprisingly not among them – but they will continue to work on game modes, weapons and balance.
And with this promise, the developers don’t take much time, but start right away: On Sunday, (Patch 2.0.0. for Battlebit) was released, which brings some far-reaching changes to the game.
Healing for all
The most important change concerns the shooter’s healing system. Previously, it was only reserved for medics to heal their injured comrades. There was no possibility to bandage themselves. This made all the other classes extremely weak once they had already taken a few grazes in the hail of bullets.
From now on, all classes in BattleBit can bandage themselves – regenerating a little bit of health. The ability to heal others, however, remains reserved for the Medic
(The most important changes of the update at a glance: Maps, weapons, healing, boats…)
The other big change concerns the maps: the map District has been reworked and now supports capture-the-flag mode. The map Wine Paradise has been expanded with new areas and checkpoints to give your battles more space now.
Anything else you want?
Of course, these weren’t all the new features. The developers have also tackled the weapon balance. The Vector, one of the strongest weapons in the game so far, has been reduced in power Its effective range has been reduced by 40 meters – the MP was never intended to be a sniper rifle anyway
Also new to the game are an attack boat, community servers and a barbed wire fence The annoying Squad Auto-Lock has been removed; other players are now automatically moved when a party member joins. All other changes can be found in the full patch notes on the second page
The full patch notes for BattleBit Remastered Update 2.0.0:
General Player UI/UX
The game no longer automatically locks groups when a group member reserves a group for their group. Instead, a non-group member is forced to switch groups (with their role) if the reserved group group is full while a group member joins the server.
Improved detection for targeting crashed players to connect/resurrect.
A bug where players’ armor & bodies are not synchronized when the player is standing still and the client loads their object for the first time until they move – fixed.
When a player shoots at a Mine/C4/Claymore, the shooter takes responsibility for the explosion as if they owned the Mine/C4/Claymore. Previously, ownership remained with the person who deployed the mine, even if someone else shot it. This led to cases where shooting at a friend’s claymore/mine killed them.
Players are no longer allowed to place mines/claymore underwater
Progression/XP improvements
The progression curve will flatten after level 15 to keep the time to level up constant. This is to reduce the amount of time and XP needed to reach level 200 on average.
Empty transport/boat vehicles will no longer give points when destroyed.
XP points event added: Destroying enemy c4/mine/claymore gives a hit marker and extra XP
Clans
Clan applications are opened with a minimum requirement of Prestige 1 .
The issue with used clan invitations remaining in the clan invitation list once used has been fixed.
The issue that the limit of 100 clan invitations included expired invitations has been fixed.
Universal Healing
After a long discussion, it has turned out that the Medic is the only class that can survive more than one fight. Other classes cannot survive a second fight after being shot. In response, the following change was introduced:
Bandages now cause self-healing even if they bleed, and provide +40 HP for each bandage used. This applies to all classes.
You cannot heal other players with bandages, it remains the same as before, you can only stop bleeding or revive but it will not heal them, only the Medic can heal OTHER players with his Medkit Gadget.
