What makes Prince of Persia good?

The Lost Crown scared off some fans with its announcement trailer and caused a lot of skepticism, but in the end it turned out to be a really good game, which we rate with 87 points in our test. We’ll briefly summarize what exactly makes this action platformer with Metroidvania elements so good:

Large open world full of surprises

Great combat system with clever enemies and massive bosses

Precise controls

Many missions with successful dialogs

Sensible comfort functions

World change for the better? After Ubisoft’s often formulaic worlds have been criticized for some time, the publisher has now delivered two really good open worlds with Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and the new Prince of Persia. It remains to be seen whether further successes of this kind can be celebrated with existing brands such as Assassin’s Creed or Far Cry.
