AC Mirage is coming out earlier and is avoiding high-profile competition with its new release date.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is celebrating huge success right now after developer Larian Studios moved up the release of the mega role-playing game to get out of the way of the upcoming Starfield .
As Ubisoft has now announced, the French are relying on the same tactics for the next Assassin’s Creed and are unceremoniously pulling forward the release of Assassin’s Creed Mirage without further ado.
AC Mirage is coming a week early
If you’re one of those people who aren’t knee-deep in space RPGs a month after Starfield’s release and would rather climb through old Baghdad, we have good news: Assassin’s Creed Mirage is coming out a week early!
Instead of October 12, 2023, the title will already be released on October 5, as Ubisoft announced on Twitter (now known as X).
Assassin’s Creed Mirage has gold status and will be released a week early!
On behalf of the entire team, we can’t wait for you to explore 9th century Baghdad with Basim. Your journey will now begin on October 5. Remember the new date!

With the new release date, AC Mirage, much like Baldur’s Gate 3, is avoiding strong competition:
On October13 will be released Lords of the Fallen
On October17 awaits you Alan Wake 2
On October20 await console gamers Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder
Of course, this isn’t a guarantee that Ubisoft will be able to even come close to repeating the success of Baldur’s Gate 3 – but it’s at least a smart move. After all, other games, such as the fan-celebrated but financially unsuccessful Titanfall 2, have also failed due to an ill-chosen release date.
