The excitement reached its peak at THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2023 when the exciting reveal of Titan Quest 2 was finally made. While this announcement was not a complete surprise, as there had already been speculation in the past about the creation of a sequel to the storied action role-playing game.

The brand new trailer now officially confirmed the continuation of the adventure and revealed the development team behind the project: Grimlore Games, the creative minds behind Spellforce 3. The early glimpses make it clear that the fascinating world of Greek myths and monsters will continue to be the focus.

The roots of Titan Quest 2 remain intact: The goddess of retribution, Nemesis, seethes with rage and strives to bring her enemies to ruin. A problem? You, as the player, are also affected and thus face the task of arming yourselves and working with the other gods to stop the raging Nemesis.

What to expect with Titan Quest 2

To live up to this claim, you’ll travel an open game world, explore the mysterious realm of the Moirs, among other things, and face an endless horde of enemies. These include familiar faces such as harpies, satyrs, sirens, centaurs and many more. Even gods can get caught up in the vortex of battle. The developers rely on a flexible character system without rigid classes, such as those found in Diablo 4 for example. Instead, you have the freedom to combine different masteries to create an individual class that suits your play style. This also applies to the selection of abilities and weapons that you’ll upgrade with additional attributes. You can even forge a legendary weapon from a simple spear.

When can we expect Titan Quest 2?

In addition to an immersive single-player campaign, you can also experience Titan Quest 2, which by the way is being developed on the groundbreaking Unreal Engine 5, in online multiplayer. Together with friends, you can go on the hunt for loot and gods. The exact number of players in a group remains a secret so far.

The same applies to the release date: This is still a long way off, so we can’t look forward to it this year. After all, Titan Quest 2 will be available for the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S right from the start. Information about the Nintendo Switch version remains hidden for now.
