Kick welcomed a new face to their platform a few days ago – and they plunked down some serious cash for it.
Felix Lengyel aka “xQc” is one of the absolute biggest and most successful streamers on Twitch. He is followed by almost 12 million people and most of the time he has an average of over 50,000 viewers.
xQc is known for his fast, energetic way of speaking, but also for his critical opinions and former streams on different casino sites. Fittingly, he has now secured a deal with the platform Kick.com whose operators are casino owners.
Non-exclusive deal for $100 million
From now on, however, the 27-year-old will not only stream exclusively on Kick, but also still on Twitch. Unlike other known larger deals, xQc is not obliged to go live exclusively on the new platform
According to Staiy the contract even says that streamers are welcome to start on Twitch and then take viewers to the competitor.
For such a deal, Kick wants to shell out a total of 100 million US dollars . For this, the Twitch star has entered into a contract that will earn him a basic 70 million US dollars over two years
In addition, he gets 30 million on top if he achieves certain goals. That makes him more than top NBA player LeBron James, who most recently signed a $97.1 million contract.

Further, the influencer hints that he gave up some of the money within the deal and now has shares in Kick.com. He could probably choose to do so.
He also emphasises that he has confidence in the platform.

xQc shares his venture on Twitter and (expresses) that Kick gives him the opportunity to try new things that weren’t feasible before.
He always wants to stream in rotation and play both platforms equally, (he says).

xQc crashes website of Kick.com
No sooner does the internet star go live for the first time on the Twitch competitor than the servers crash. The site stopped working for some time.
Kick is experiencing stability issues due to immense traffic (50x our usual). We are overwhelmed by your support and will get this fixed quickly

It was also reported that over 1 million new registrations were recorded within 24 hours. But it is not just him who is making the platform a success, Amouranth has also moved there.
So far, bringing Lengyel onto the platform seems to be bearing fruit. But there are still doubts in the community as to whether Kick can catch on. Many draw parallels to the mixer deals Ninja and Shroud did back then, which also did not pay off afterwards. As is well known, the live stream service had to close down.
