Undawn Review – Great game, but needs a bit of work

We played Undawn on an Android device and it felt great to play. The full HD graphics were refreshing and while the game did feel optimized, it was lacking a bit on stability. There were the occasional frame drops and lags. These were rare, but if you have a lower-end device these could be a hindrance to you playing the game.

Undawn has elements of both PvE and PvP and is a unique take on the genre for mobile devices. It offers a great story along with cutscenes to keep players hooked as they aim to survive in the world. Players have to build their home base, and communities, and can also interact with other players through the in-game social features.

While the gameplay is great and unmatched to other titles on Android and iOS, it can be a tough game to get into. There are a lot of on-screen buttons, which are sometimes even unresponsive. Additionally, the graphics on PC are nice but it seems like an obvious port of a mobile device to another platform.

Thus, each platform has its advantages and disadvantages. While you get great gameplay on Android, it lacks in controls. PC, on the other hand, doesn’t have a problem with controls but there are better alternatives to Undawn in the market.

At the end of the day, it’s a great game to play.
