Valve said they had swiftly addressed an issue that affected Dota 2 players, who played the Fantasy League of Compendium 2023 during the early matches of the International 2023 (TI12) Playoffs. Yet, some players are still having trouble finalizing and earning their promised rewards.
TI12 Compendium Rewards bug is mostly resolved
The initial bug not offering Dota 2 Fantasy League points was acknowledged and “rectified” as far back as October 25th, as reported by Valve’s janitor in charge of scrubbing Dota 2-related bugs on Reddit:
“Sorry about this: We had a bug where if your roster was entirely from teams that advanced on the first day, your scores weren’t updated. They should all be updated now, with a percentile, and rewards granted.”
As of November 1st, most instances were confirmed resolved, with a few users still reporting their client being stuck on TBD for certain results and pending rewards.
While several Dota 2 players highlighted that Valve did not allocate fantasy league points for the initial matches of the TI12 playoffs, most matches after the fact seemed to register properly. Additionally, players were not getting their deserved TI12 Compendium Point rewards despite being in the top percentile.
It’s noteworthy to mention that this wasn’t the only issue players faced during this year’s TI. Earlier on, there were reports of players being unable to make tournament predictions due to a DotaTV bug.
Ongoing bugs during TI12 will get a fix soon
There are still some pending minor bugs seen during TI12. Troll Warlord’s ulti causing him not to move, and voice lines that did not produce any sound when used in-game that cannot be refunded. Both bugs and some minor tweaks should arrive with a small patch 7.34e in the following weeks.
The larger post-TI re-balance patch should arrive in a month or two.
