Gamers8, the legendary nine-week-long tournament that’s taking place in Saudi Arabia, isn’t over yet. It has been running since July 6th, and in the time that it has been live, millions of dollars in prizes have been handed out to some of the top gaming organisations on Earth. Just hours ago, Team Vitality claimed one of those prizes, storming to success at the Gamers8 CSGO tournament and securing the $400,000 first-place prize.

It was an epic win with a phenomenal track record, with Vitality effectively steam-rolling over the tops of MIBR, Natus Vincere, and G2 Esports, all before wrapping up the win against ENCE in the Grand Final. In that spree, Vitality dropped just two maps, earning the number one spot and proving why, in the words of IGL apEX, Vitality is ‘the best team in the world.’

Gamers8 Still Isn’t Over

It was a monumental weekend for Team Vitality, with the iconic ZywOo earning yet another MVP award for his flawless performance and newcomer flameZ winning his most major prize yet. It has already been a strong year so far for Vitality, which earlier in 2023 picked up the top spots at both the BLAST Paris Major and IEM Rio. As the decade-long lifecycle of CSGO comes to a close, the team now prepares to transition fully to Counter-Strike 2.

There is just one week left in the Gamers8 tournament, and then it’s over for another year. Today, the Rocket League portion of the event kicks off, carrying with it a prize pool worth $2 million. It’s the feather in the cap of Gamers8, which has so far seen such a diverse range of titles take to the main stage. Here are all the categories that have been played so far, with their respective winners and prize pools:

Fortnite ($2 million) – Japko & Kami
Tekken 7 Nations Cup ($1 million) – Pakistan
