A lot of the early focus for Street Fighter 6 esports has been on western players, with the CPT qualifiers for these regions coming earlier. However, Tokido is one of the standout Japanese players we’ve seen compete in the game. The Ken player has had some strong early results at tournaments like EVO. He’s one of the best Japanese fighting game players of all time and only seems to be improving at the game.

Punk has long been one of the most successful and best SF players, winning eight different pro tour events. In SF 6 he’s had some early success too. He’s won numerous ICFC North America events. Along with getting third at the Intel Plays 2023 Invitational and CEO. He’s one of the best Street Fighter 6 players and it’ll be interesting to see how he performs at the Capcom Cup later in the year.

MenaRD is a clear standout for Street Fighter 6 players so far. Even prior to this title, he was a two-time Capcom Cup champion for Street Fighter V. In early tournaments like CEO 2023 and the Intel Plays 2023 Invitational, he won first. That’s along with winning Get on My Level 2023, and a Road Warrior event. The player just missed out at EVO 2023 coming in second. However, MenaRD and the player in number 1 here are both completely dominating Street Fighter 6 so far.

1. AngryBird

Looking at the best SF 6 players in 2023 so far, AngryBird is the clear standout. He didn’t have as many huge wins in the earliest portion of the game but dominated at the first huge tournament. He’s the SF 6 Evo 2023 Champion. The majority of the other players here competed there and it was the tournament with the most at stake. This puts him first at least until we see the year’s champions all clash at the Capcom Cup.
