You”ve played Anno 1800 up and down and want to build a city outside the classic island worlds? Then check out Laysara.
The weekend is almost here, and at least in the southern part of Germany it offers perfect gaming weather: If you”re still not sure which game you want to delve into on a rainy Saturday afternoon, we have an idea for the build-up fans among you: Why don”t you take a look at the demo of Laysara: Summit Kingdom
What is Laysara: Summit Kingdom?
At first glance, this building game stands out for two qualities: On the one hand, it has a coherent graphic style and impresses with detailed cities. On the other hand, Laysara takes on a scenario that has probably never existed before. You build your city on the steep slopes of a mountain in the middle of the high mountains. The trailer shows you just how impressive it looks:
The developers already explain on Steam how exactly city building works and what special challenges await us:
Three population strata: As usual for building games, different population strata settle in your city, inspired by the cultures in Tibet, Nepal and Bhutan.
Transportation of goods: In the rough terrain, transporting building materials and supplies is a big challenge. To this end, build roads, bridges and lifts that can be improved over time.
Monument: Once you have mastered all the challenges, you still have to build a large temple on top of the mountain. To do this, you must secure a route that can then be used to transport huge amounts of building materials.
Avalanches: The biggest danger for your city are avalanches, which can easily bury entire streets. However, you can defend yourself against the snow masses by creating natural barriers through reforestation, building ramparts, or triggering the avalanches ahead of time.
Every mountain is different: Sometimes you have plenty of space for farming, sometimes you have to earn your living by digging for ore. Deficiencies can be compensated for by building trade routes.
You can finally try out the building game for yourself before release as a (free demo on Steam).
